We had overnight In Bangkok, two days so I’m doing two posts and as you can see from my face, it was hot!
I escorted tours into the city both days, it’s a long bus ride into Bangkok but you do stop for a comfort break along the way – chocolate burger anyone?

I didn’t partake, however on my second day there I did enjoy a sizzling chocolate brownie at the chocolate cafe in the shopping centre. If you get the chance – do it!!! Service was spectacular with the chocolate sauce dramatically poured over the warm brownie bubbling and sizzling on the hot skillet, and it tasted divine

Day one was really an overview. We drove past the Grand Palace and stopped for photographs but didn’t go in. I was glad I went on the second day as it was a lot less busy and slightly cooler

We did of course see temple’s & Buddhas Have you even been to Bangkok if you don’t see temples and Buddhas, and strangely they still had a Christmas tree up

The problem with not doing the blog posts at the time is you forget some of the details, so while I know we did 2 temples on day one I’m not really sure which ones, though there were reclining and swinging Buddhas. I did mention there were a lot of temples and Buddhas

Someone said that was a nice photo of me so thought I’d share. Points to note, bare feet, you need to remove your shoes going into the temples. Dress code, I wore a long dress both days, but the only place you need to cover up is The Grand Palace. I was totally fine here with bare shoulders. I’d a scarf & a cardi with me but didn’t need them.

People always notice the crazy electrics In Bangkok, but to be honest it’s pretty similar in Manila, Vietnam, most places out there. As this is just a tongue in cheek review I had to include a typical street scene.
Another point to note is the currency. When you visit a lot of countries in a short space of time using a lot of different currencies it’s hard to keep track. On day one we went to a tourist shop, there were loads of assistants helping with conversion so I did some Christmas shopping! But on day 2 I went to the shopping centre, I bought a silk cover up for 600 Baht, while I knew that wasn’t a lot, it still sounds a lot in your head. It’s about £14 and my bestie is raging I didn’t bring her one home…

I’ve been to Bangkok. I couldn’t sign off without showing you a Buddha
