Possibly in the wrong trousers, but that’s Keith’s story 😂. Yes we are Wallace & Gromit fans!

Mullaghmore last week the beach looked like this

Today we didn’t go down because it looked more like this!

So we went to see Paddy because we fancied a poke!
The queue was out the door, eh this is sleepy Mullaghmore, even google couldn’t produce a packed beach image for it!
Only in Ireland, on the hottest day of the year, the entire island had no electricity!
There was no room at the inn, for they were all shut and the sweat was lashing off poor Paddy as he tried to serve every starving schoolchild & hungry tourist Luke warm cokes, sandwiches he was trying to keep cool & scoops of fast melting ice-cream. Not a poke to be had for the whippy machine needs the electric! To be fair the teachers were making the most of it and had full scale picnic set up on the green by the harbour with the convenient zebra crossing running straight over to Paddy’s Place

So we collected his lordship from the groomers – isn’t he gorgeous, got him weighed at the vets and headed home 😁. It’s like slimming world, no way were we getting him weighed in a heavy coat, he’s lost over a kilo, good boy!
For some reason I can’t quite remember we decided to take the car over to Omagh. Heated seats were the order of the day, well I insisted on a leather interior, but this is Fermanagh I was thinking wet jeans & muddy boots not scorchio sunsets

All was well though, I munched half a dozen jelly babies on the way so I could take my tablet and we managed to get everything we went for in Homebase with an unexpected discount #result

It was way too hot for coffee so we strolled along the river Erne & finally got a poke in the Erneside. The ducklings are a fair bit bigger now but sadly decreasing in number

Home, fed, barrel replanted & a bit of gardening done – is it bed time yet!
I’ll leave you with the Mullaghmore watercolour I did last week, when it was still a deserted paradise with electricity
