So, you get up this morning to find a text from the boss that reads….’….heading back to NZ for a medivac. Helicopter can’t take off….’. Yes, I know in a boat of 2500 people it’s unlikely to be her…but still. The lack of ability to contact her isn’t ideal either.
On a lighter note, what is it with the sudden influx of eBay orders for Gin and Tonic marmalade??? Nothing for a week…then 27 jars sold in two days!!!
A burst of energy yesterday meant we now have 2 trees and one giant bush less than we had on Sunday. Tree loppers and chainsaw (I lurve my chainsaw) employed. I wanted to get my little tractor out…but the ground is still soggy. As granny would’ve said I’ve ‘taken the headstaggers’. I also made 75 jars of Belfast Relish, packed and posted 4 parcels, did my ‘big shop’ and squeezed in 20000 Fitbitch steps. Grrrrrr……I’m a TIGER.
And talking of granny (and my granda) Becky reported that their grave had been hit by a large branch during a storm (the branch was still there). The headstone was ok but the wee ornaments that granny and Becky had bought were unfortunately destroyed. Becky has it tidied and sorted.
Message from my childhood best friend (who resides in China where he works as a teacher) informing me that he’s ‘in Bundoran’. That’s around 30mins from me. What a shock!!!!…..we’ve arranged to meet tomorrow. I haven’t seen him since 2007.
Anyway….I’m off to bite my nails until I hear from the boss again.
