So this is my go now apparently.

10361 miles apart…..and it will get further this weekend. Life continues for me without too much by way of ‘distraction’. Dogs/Cats still need fed, and so do I…..(who knew) and walked. Our jams still need to be made and orders fulfilled. Housework needs to be maintained….’and so forth and so on and whatever’ (Sue Heck).

The thought occurred to me a few weeks ago that given all our friends/family are ‘up the country’ that if something happened to me no one would know. What started as a throwaway observation stuck in my mind and made me think..’God, what would happen?’. Thankfully a couple we have got friendly with over coffee, he’s also a Keith, and whom I shared my concerns with on Tuesday kindly offered their mobile number ‘just in case’. A weight off my mind.

I’m always amazed that people think that the business grinds to a halt with ‘the boss’ away and I wonder what they think my role is…..do they think I just ‘sweep up and make the tea’? (Rodney Trotter). I have lots of orders (1000 jars) to keep me occupied and get delivered by the 26th…..then I only have March to worry about. Is it too early to be prepping for Christmas?

Two of the jobs I had planned for during the boss’s absence have been completed already but our weather isn’t doing us any favours either. More snow today and its accompanied by a bitter wind. This sounds a very negative piece to start off with but today I did hear from a friend whom I had been concerned about so that went in the plus column.
