One of the best bits of small ship cruising is you reach the smaller ports where the big ships are just too, well, big! And so we arrived right in the centre of Santo Domingo.
Our Seargent Major, as we nicknamed her, Had done her research and four of us headed out to Los Tres Ojos or The Three Eyes Caves

For the pricely sum of $10 we had full access to the caves, our own personal guide & a trip in the boat, for another 10 bucks this guy would dive into one of the rock pools

A simple pulley boat took us to another section of the park

The heat & humidity in the caves was overpowering and this open section was a welcome break and a really beautiful place

There were lots of interesting rock formations in the caves, but the girls had a giggle at Big Willy Rock

A quick paddle in the ladies pool and it was up the steps were our air conditioned taxi awaited!

We saw some monuments & the Pope mobile on our tour round the town

Then we stopped in the old town for some refreshment and the kids crowded in for some selfies

I loved how everything was decorated & painted

And of course we visited the Chocolate Museum where I bought hubby some Chocolate Tea

Another fantastic day in a great port with really friendly locals!
