Sneaky Beach Picnic

Delivery to do – perfect excuse for a few hours on the beach!

Rumbling tummies took us to the Ramore in Portrush, a favourite lunch spot when we can find an excuse – Keiths Cod & Chips were probably the best ever and I’d my usual chilli beef pitta

Our normal routine is to park at the West Strand and walk along the beach, but rain was threatening so parked in town and had a dander around, got me some Dulse in the sweet shop!

Drove along the coast watching it all gear up for the summer season.  Portstewart was under construction with a whole new footpath going in so we motored on round to our favourite beach Benone

The weather decided to be kind, we even had our coats off at one point, so had a great walk the full length of the beach

Instead of collecting shells, and leaving them in random places, in the house, studio, van, and never doing anything with them, I behaved and photographed them instead

Then the picnic – it’s a bit naughty but so gorgeous.  If you haven’t seen the Ramore’s dessert table you need to get yourself to Portrush!  I could only manage one of these but someone else managed all 3 of his

Great day up the coast, now home for a cup of tea (and 2 more mini puddings to eat!)
